How we work

The floor carries the heaviest load in any room, every day. For it to last, material, subfloor and installation have to work together. The Flooring division of Facility Masters GmbH advises, prepares and installs for private households, businesses, property managers and public or industrial clients. Living room, office floor, shop or rental flat before reletting: you get a floor that lies level, finishes neatly and suits its use.

A dedicated expert team that works exclusively with floor coverings is responsible. It checks the subfloor, recommends the right build-up, removes old coverings, lays the floor itself and fits skirting and transitions. One fixed contact agrees dates with you, brings in other divisions where needed and hands the finished rooms over to you.

    Subfloor check with written record

    Before any installation we measure and check flatness, strength and moisture of the subfloor. The results are recorded in writing and used to define the right floor build-up.

    Low dust, well protected

    Sanding is carried out with dust extraction, and adjoining rooms are sealed off. We protect doors, frames, stairs and walkways so that nothing apart from the floor shows traces.

  3. 03

    Clean details

    Expansion gaps, mitres, pipe cut-outs and transitions decide the overall impression. We finish these spots with the same care as the main surface and check them before handover.

    Handover with care guide

    At acceptance we walk through the rooms together. You receive details of the material installed plus guidance on initial care, cleaning, furniture glides and room climate.

Which floor covering suits my rooms?

That depends on use, moisture, underfloor heating, build-up height and your taste. Parquet feels warm and can be restored, vinyl is resilient, laminate is a robust and economical solution, and carpet absorbs sound. During the site visit we show you suitable options and explain the pros and cons of each.

Does the old floor have to be removed first?

Not always. Some coverings can be laid on a firm, level existing floor, while others need an exposed and levelled subfloor. We inspect the existing floor on site, take door heights and transitions into account and recommend the technically sound route. Removal and disposal are handled by us on request.

Is it worth sanding old parquet?

Often yes. What matters is how thick the wear layer still is and whether the parquet is firmly fixed. We look at the floor, check for loose blocks and deep damage and tell you whether sanding and a new surface treatment will do or whether replacement is the better solution.

Do the rooms have to be empty for installation?

For a good result the area should be freely accessible. Whether you clear the furniture yourself or we lend a hand is settled during the site visit. In larger properties we can work in sections on request, so that parts of the flat or business remain usable.
